Cloud storage

How do you plan to use cloud storage in 2013?

I plan on using it by working on projects with a friend. Or if in the future our school could collaborate with another (maybe in another country) school to do a pen pal kinda thing.

Out of school I could use cloud storage for a good way to store my information and share it with friends without making multiple copies.

Cloud computing

What is meant by the cloud?

The cloud is another way to say the internet. The cloud allows you to access anything anywhere in the world as long as you have internet. That way you can work with someone who is somewhere else on the same project at the same time.

What is the difference between cloud and local documents?

The difference is that for a local document if you want to work with someone you have to send it back and forth making more than the necassary copies. While in cloud you and a partner can work on the same project at the same time only creating 1 copy.

What are two advantages and two disadvantages of using Google Docs compared with using Microsoft Office Documents?

In google docs anyone you allow can change what you've done and you also need internet to access it. The good thing is that you can collaborate with someone instead of emailing a lot of copies.
Microsoft word you need to make multiple copies and send it back and forth if you are working on it with a partner. The good thing is that you dont need internet and you can do more things on it than on google docs.

Wordle/ Activity 1

1. Did you use a wide vocabulary? Did you stretch to say things in different ways or did you you use the same words over and over again? Pleas explain. I thought my vocabulary was well, but i dont think I tried to say things differently. I kind of used the same language over and over again rather than explaining it with more thought. 2.Did you use keywords in your project? I used quite a bit of the words but again I dont think I reached my full potential.
